Notes

Major conservative funders with a particular focus on education - school choice, independent ed, charter schools.

Research pull, August 24, 2026.Beth & Ravenel Curry Foundation — Education Giving, FY2023–FY2025

Total charitable giving across the last three fiscal years was ~$139M, growing sharply each year ($35M → $49M → $56M). Education is the foundation's single largest program area, running roughly 40–55% of total giving depending on where you draw the line, with the tilt intensifying in FY2025.

3-year education total: ~$55–85M of ~$139M
Narrow lens (K-12 reform, charter, choice, scholarships): ~40–47%
Broad lens (adds higher ed, civic ed, FIRE): ~50–60%
Biggest bets: Charter School Growth Fund (~$20M+ across 3 years), Khan Academy (~$8M), Success Academy, Vela Education Fund, Equitable Facilities Fund
Catholic/classical touchpoints: Partnership Schools (NYC Catholic), Seton Education Partners, Great Hearts — present but not the dominant vein

Caveat: FY2024 grant-level detail wasn't accessible; the 40–55% range is anchored in full FY2023 data and FY2025 top-20 grants.
